We stayed at the Raeburn at the beginning of our trip to Scotland. Boy, did we start off with a bang! It was hard not to compare every single hotel to the Raeburn thereafter (and none of them quite measured up). The rooms were fantastic, spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful; they made sure our luggage was safe before we could get into our room, they called to make dinner reservations for us, and they always prioritized our needs. Catherine was also spectacular; she was very helpful and kind. The food at the restaurant was also fantastic. It may have been the best fish and chips we had in Scotland! I truly could not recommend this establishment more! We are already planning our return to the Raeburn!

We had breakfast in the bar area this morning and brought our dog. Really comfortable and relaxing as well as being incredibly dog friendly. All members of staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely coffee and delicious food, great value for money. A perfect way to spend a Saturday morning.

I felt ever so comfortable there and would definitely go back. Initially I booked the room to be close to the botanic garden and park, but I found the location to be convenient for a lot of great walks. …

This is one of the homiest, warmest and well appointed hotels I have stayed in the UK. It isn't stuffy or formal, yet it is roomy and beautiful. The staff are great. The food and drink is awesome. …

Review of bar and food as we did not stay there. We had several dishes see the pictures they were lovely. The chunky chips were the best chips (fries) we have ever had, pork belly was basically meat candy, carrots (trendy dish) were delicious and the chicken was very tasty. The bar staff were engaging and were great at their jobs, also the table server was attentive. One odd thing food is table service but drinks are bar service. If you don’t ask I’m not sure how you’d find this out.

Such a wonderful hotel, so beautifully decorated, and with such incredible staff. We were made to feel so welcome by the team, who were tremendous throughout our stay. The food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. My only recommendation was that we found the room temperature little hot, but there was a fan available to keep things a little cooler through the night.

Fantastic, best service for a drink we’ve had in a long time. Staff brought us a water bowl for the dog, tried to accommodate us last minute for a food table and were very friendly - all around excellent experience. Will definitely be back.
