The 4th and final hotel on a 9-day tour of Scotland, it was conveniently located on the Royal Mile, close to everything. Our room was lovely, spacious, and immaculate. …

OK hotel, but has seen better days. The superior room had a good size and was located to the rear, so very quite. Some wear and tear, but pretty new. Shared areas seemed older and in a bigger need for upgrade. Nice fitness gym. The breakfast has a lot of room for improvements - not worth the price unless you need to eat at the hotel. Avoid the restaurant. Pool area also need a bit of an upgrade. Very cold water and we found lumps of hair in the water. Not the best experience.

We had an excellent stay overall at the hotel. Efficient and helpful staff at Conciergerie and Reception. Breakfast was good. Room size functional. Housekeeping left to be desired. TV kept switching off every 30 minutes. Having said that, I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a very quick trip to Edinburgh for the Uni’s open day. But despite that it was most certainly enhanced by our stay at this lovely hotel. The room was excellent and had a lovely view to boot. But it was the very warm welcome and care given on reception by Zoe in particular that made it for us. She really went out of her way for us. I’m now watching the end of One Day and dreading it after our chat!

This is a lovely place. Rooms are large and we have a great view from our room too.Staff couldn’t do more. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant here is good. The whole family sat for a meal. The choice is a little limited, but very happy with what was on offer. My father in law had fish and chips, huge piece of cod and chunky chips, I had the slow cooked beef in red wine., our lad had a huge burger and the lady’s had a chicken salad. All very nice. The staff serving made it a great night. This place is a credit to this wonderful city and reflection of the beautiful people here.Highly recommend this place.

The hotel staff is very inviting. During the Tattoo, it is a very convenient location about .3 away. Ask for a higher floor. On the first floor, it was noisy with the outside bar scene until 4 am. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds are comfortable and you can request different pillows and quilts. Breakfast is great with a wide variety.

Stayed there once for 2 nights back in Nov-Dec 2016, Very nice historic location, very nice clean room with clean bedding however the only drawback is I could’ve had a peaceful night’s sleep if the fire alarm didn’t go off each night.. I know it was years ago but absolutely had no idea then you could demand half a refund which I wasn’t even asked nor offered when it happened.. Would’ve been more than 3 stars if it wasn’t for the unexpected incidents going off.. 😕
