My husband and I loved staying here. The staff were amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us a map and directions to the best places. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to main roads for walking around the city but tucked away so it’s nice and quiet.

Nice hotel. Beds very comfortable. Water replenished every day in the room. Nice bathroom products. Breakfast was good. Buffet style. Only downside is it a little far out from the city Center especially since Edinburgh is so hilly but you can easily Uber anyway where so really not an issue.

We used this hotel- to stage for the airport on our way out of Scotland. The hotel properly was nicely equipped. They upgraded our room upon check-in (thanks for that).  …

This is an average Marriott property on the quieter part of Edinburgh. Everything is within walking distance and proximity to Arthur’s seat and Palace of Holyroodhouse makes this hotel idea for people who love more greenery. The spacious room was renovated but it does not feel modern nor nicely appointed. The updated bathroom somehow retained the odd separate hot and cold water faucets. The M lounge is adequate with some light snacks and offered small breakfast display. The breakfast at the main dining area is slightly better but nothing to write home about. The service staff were all very helpful and attentive. Greta at the front desk was amazing and caring. She was able to arrange an earlier check in for my elderly parents. Mike at the concierge gave many good advices with things in and around the city. The hotel would receive much higher ratings if it was kept in better condition and management took the time to fix things as needed. With that said, the hotel is a good value and I would recommend it to those looking for an average stay.

I cannot say enough about the front desk staff at this hotel. Very friendly and accommodating. The concierge gave me maps and places I should see while in Edinburgh and the front desk agents were very easy to deal with. I would definitely stay there again

The hotel was very nice, with the rooms looking brand new and very high spec. The lobby was bright and equally high standard. The gym was probably the best hotel gym I’ve seen with all new equipment and a great selection. The pool and sauna area was also decent. The hotel was walkable to the centre of Edinburgh.

I feel so lucky to have had Luca do my facial and massage today. I am a pretty tense and stressed mum of 2 and today he helped me relax and made my skin glow. I could have had a whole afternoon getting pampered with him, I appreciate the advise on skincare for which Is a guru! The massage was amazing and very relaxing, my shoulders feel so much better and not as knotted. My facial was a plethora of beautiful products and soft hands. I will be booking in again with Luca for his magic! Thank you

I’ve been going to this gym and pool for a while now, and I have to say, it’s never looked better! David, the manager, is honestly fantastic. He’s made so many changes that have really transformed the place. Everything is super organized, the equipment is always clean and ready. You can tell David puts in a lot of effort to make sure the facilities are top-notch.

We selected the Marriott at Holyrood for its quiet location, where we were close to the town center and the train station but away from the street noise. …
