We spend the weekend at this hotel. We didn’t have a good experience at the beginning : torn bathrobe and dirty pillow case, contacted the receptionist and we got the new ones. …

Hotel has beautiful views over golf course and sea with it being a picturesque 15 minute walk into North Berwick centre. Our dog friendly room was large and the bed and bathroom scrupulous clean. …

This was our third visit and, sadly, probably our last. Location + reception area remain superb. However there were disappointments this time. We didn't get the room we'd asked + paid for - sea view rather than de-luxe sea view. …

The Marine Hotel in North Berwick has a fabulous location - right on the sea front with super views to Bass Rock. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Bar food was good and breakfast was fine though very small portions. …

We had booked a spa day with afternoon tea along with a massage. The spa is really good with a pool, 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, ice room, ice tubs and a hydro therapy pool which is both inside and outside. Overall the facilities are really good. Some of it looks a wee bit tired with tiles missing etc but changing/showers were excellent. A big call out to Karen and her team for exemplary service. Nothing was too much trouble and really added to making our day special. We had an afternoon tea which was nice and again the service was really good. The view of the garden/golf course/beach was stunning. Felt that the crockery did not match the hotel and surroundings. It was white but looked discoloured/stained. There was what we thought was dishwasher residue in the cups and there was tea leaves spilled on top of the tea pot…sadly. A bit more attention to detail would could have made the difference.Just to be clear..we had a great time and would recommend booking. The small points raised are the reason why we did not give 5 stars.

Had high tea with family . Management is really not managing no offence to the waiters who didn't bring cutlery nor napkins or even tell us what we are eating . The table was sticky and could do with a table cloth or plane of glass. The Scons were good, and the view was excellent, and that's about it . Very average. Do not recommend it.
