Very cool place, it’s modern but in the older part of Edinburgh. My daughter loved the games and activities in the lobby. The bar area was super chill and a great place to unwind. The breakfast buffet was awesome, lots of options. Easy walk down through old Edinburgh and to shopping.

I stayed here for one night as a part of a business trip with colleagues. I selected this hotel for location for work and sightseeing, as well as for newness and price point. …

The cost was way too high for what the room offered. I know it’s a new concept but I can’t believe a Marriott property had almost no place to sit anything down and no place but the bed for us to sit. The bed was two mattress put together. Easily my least favorite Marriott property.

Where to start!Positives:Great location - tons of great restaurants within walking distance, 25 min walk to Edinburgh castle, 15 min walk to grass marketRooms are well designed and the shower was actually quite nice (albeit, very small)Check-in was quickTerrace on top of the hotel was greatNegatives:Beds are not the most comfortable, I can’t explain exactly what it feels like to lay in them but just not super comfortable (the sheets and mattress itself makes a lot of noise with little movement)Elevators are a literal shit show - very slow, very small, will randomly become out of order while you’re on itBedroom walls are paper thin, apparently so is the ceiling. Could hear the upstairs neighbours dancing in their rooms, could also hear next door neighbours wake up alarm when it went off.Fire alarm - I’ve read about it in reviews prior to booking, but for some reason the fire alarm went off at 08:18am Monday morning. Good news is, the fire alarm works.Overall, the location is likely the only reason I’d stay here again.

Great vibe. Comfy, big, bed. Excellent location, as not too far to walk from centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice little gym which was a pleasant surprise. Roof top bar was very chilled. Really enjoyed the games available in the lounge. Good value breakfast.

Great location just outside the centre? But close enough to walk there. The rooms are great, with just what you need. The breakfast, although busy, was plentiful and a great selection of drinks and food. The Lochrin rooftop bar was amazing, even though a little drizzly||Hats off to the staff..they were excellent

we arrived at 9 AM on a redeye, and my daughter was exhausted. Not much sleep on the plane. Adrian with reception was kind enough to give us a free room during the day while we waited for our room to be completed for check-in. …

The Moxy Edinburgh was a fun hotel with a friendly staff. Moxy hotels follow a winning formula---vibrant lobbies, where you check in at the bar....and it works.  …

Rooms are good, but if staying on business and need to work in your room, the desk area is very small.Quality of breakfast is bigger factor for me in deciding if would stay again, and the Moxy is OK. The usual range of breakfast foods you'd see, but little choice at same time. The space is also a bit cramped, so if busy prepare to get frustrated.

An eccentric and trendy hotel though extremely uncomfortable room. Room size is very small and have no fridge, shower so tiny you can barely turn a full circle, and room cleaning needs improvement as we would come back and still find used glasses on the floor and crinkle bed that we have to fix ourselves. Reason for 3 and not lower amount of star is due to reception service. Special shout out to Josh and Doly (if I spelled his name correctly) for their hospitality. Overall will not stay at a Moxy again and does not seem like a good choice for family travel group.
