I stayed here back in August with my husband for a week. We decided to have an elopement ceremony in Edinburgh from the US. When I called 5 days before to confirm my stay, there were issues. But my issues were completely fixed and quickly solved by Holly in reservations. She was SO helpful and I really appreciated it.The hotel staff was so kind and welcoming. We had such a wonderful stay. We stayed in the City View Feature Room. It was such a beautiful room and very spacious. It was very clean and a pleasure to stay in. At one point I thought the AC wasn't working, and help was sent right away to help me. (It just had to take time to start up) but I really appreciated how fast help came.I felt very safe here, and I love how close it is to the Royal Mile.I had ordered flowers and chocolate to come to our room and they were both beautiful and came right on time. Everything was clean and the staff was so helpful. If I am ever lucky enough to go back to Scotland, I will stay here every time!

"An Exceptional Stay at The Scotsman Hotel"From the moment I arrived, my stay at The Scotsman Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Queenie, the Front of House Manager, checked me in and was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Her warm demeanor and attention to detail made me feel right at home and set the perfect tone for my visit.Dinner at the Grand Café was another highlight. The menu offered a superb selection of dishes, each one beautifully crafted and delicious. The atmosphere was elegant and comfortable, and the staff’s service was flawless, making the entire dining experience truly memorable. The gym was well-equipped and pristine, providing everything I needed for a great workout. I really appreciated having access to such quality facilities on-site.The Picturehouse was a fantastic addition to my stay as well. Watching a film in this intimate, stylish setting felt like a private cinematic experience—a unique touch that made my time at The Scotsman even more special.Overall, my stay was unforgettable. My husband and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary and the Scotsman hotel staff made us feel even more special. We got here early and had to leave our stuff with the front desk, and they were kind enough to bring everything up to our room. This is the most fancy, high-end hotels I've ever stayed at, definitely felt spoiled

We arrived late afternoon on Saturday 7th September, to stay for two nights. When checking in I tried to book a table for dinner. None were available, so it was suggested we dine in the bar. …

We spent a night here during our recent trip to Scotland. What a great location! Our room was clean with a great view of the city. It is a simple walk to the train station as well as most of the other tourist sites you may want to see. We had dinner at the restaurant and the atmosphere was great, as well as the food. The only negative is that we ordered a dessert we never received and the waitress had not realized it. The result was no sweet treats but also we were left sitting for about half an hour. Not enough to take away from our overall experience and would stay, and eat, here again.
