My stay at this hotel was the most basic I have ever experienced. The rooms were okay, but the cleanliness was severely lacking. I stayed for four days, and after the first night, the bath was left dirty. Despite hooking the sign for the cleaners before going out for the whole day, they didn't come. When I saw the cleaner the next day, I asked him to ensure my room was cleaned because I wanted to take another bath. Unfortunately, he only made the bed and left everything else dirty. On a positive note, the front desk receptionist, Faz, was lovely. My friend and I enjoyed his friendly banter and hospitality, which made our stay much more pleasant. However, the location was disappointing. It's in the middle of nowhere, with limited dining options—just English fry-ups in the morning or fast food, which isn't great for health. I won’t be going back.

The hotel itself was fine. Clean and comfortable. You have to park in the main services area and walk to it, a struggle if you have mobility issues. It had no facilities to eat and you have to use the main services where the choice is limited - fast food outlets or a Waitrose shop.

The staff member at reception with glasses - rude I asked for pillows the guy screamed at us and told us they don’t do pillows and hotel was full so couldn’t get any !!!Made me cry screaming at me !Then the toilet blocked he came it went down had to call him back then he came and looked and said I’ll move you rooms gave us a key for another room the bed was small mattress and as hanging over edge room was dirty so we stayed out and had to use reception toilet all nightWhen we first arrived it looked niceGot to room fan is broken when you turn it on it turns to ceiling and won’t stay downWindows don’t open not even a little bit so no form of air in those roomsLack of plug sockets 2 plug sockets one for kettle one for tv when travelling with kids this is awfulI paid more for this hotel than the one I paid in London and had more in the cheaper one !!Bar states 24 hours and yet when you go get a drink after 12 they say bottles only !!!! After waiting all day driving for a pint !Rude staff shouting and raising his voice at people !! I wouldn’t dare talk to him like that so what right did he have to chops us ?

The hotel we stayed at was brilliant staff were friendly not what I expected from reading most the reviews!Couldn’t ask for more for the price just one issue we had was the spare pillows in the bag in the wardrobe we used one had makeup on and a hair as if itd had been used and put back in the bag whether the cleaners had missed this or had put it back in themselves I’m not to sure also we’d gone for a car show and are quite particular about the car if this is the case I’d be careful as the hotel parking isn’t seperate from the services car park so people were constantly coming and going and parking so tight up to the car I’m surprised they could get out I ended up moving my car 3 times till I felt it was in a safe ish place we did stay over the weekend so it was probably more so busyier then ever which didn’t help but I think to resolve this issue happening and people not getting there doors dented they should do a separated car park for the hotel customers and regular services users that way there’s not constant flow of people coming and going sqeezing up to customers cars and then leaving that way I’d feel my car would’ve been safer but apart from those 2 issues hotel and staff was spot on couldn’t fault them ! And for what u pay had everything needed such as tea coffee hair dryer towels provided soaps toilet rolls everything needed and could’ve asked for really so for a weekend visit or even a week I’d say for the price is a very good hotel and I no the parking probably is out of there control hense why I’ve still give them a pretty high score !

It is ideal for a stop over night. Not far from the motorway but the noise did not intrude. The price of room and breakfast was reasonable the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Actually surprisingly good! The room was absolutely spotless and 0 dust. Bathroom even had some soap. Modern fit out.Bed comfortable and lots of room. No weird smell that some cheap hotels have. Honestly doesn’t seem like 2 stars. I’ve seen worse 3 star hotels than this! If you’re on the motorway and need a place to stop for the night I would definitely recommend this place! EV charging Gridserve is 50kw and lots of Tesla stalls, though only available to Tesla’s
