We stayed at the Lovat on the One Night Dining Offer and we were absolutely delighted with both our stay and our evening meal - it was really great value and a brilliant end to our two week holiday in Scotland.(i) the front of house was great - extremely welcoming and very prompt in sorting us with drinks (which was very appreciated). Both she and the hotel were super accommodating for our dog and the Garden room was perfectly set up.(ii) our host for the evening meal (who I think was the owner) was great. She ran the dinner service like clockwork and was both knowledgeable and passionate about the wine in equal measure. We have never ordered bottles of wine from a wine pairing before even leaving the table - but we did last night! It was also brilliant to see a commitment to showcasing English wine. We have not seen this anywhere else and we thought it was a great touch.A really lovely stay for us!

The Lovat is superb. The staff were all lovely and so nice to see the owners are truly hands on. We had the privilege to stay in the grand master suite which was spotless and beautifullu presented. However, what stood out was the food it was delightful. The Lovat needs to be on every foodies stop.

Spent three days here while hiking in the Highlands and everything was perfect - our cosy loft room, the fabulous dinner we had in Station Road and all the staff we met who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. …

We had an excellent two nights' stay here. The staff are lovely and the facilities are awesome -- I really enjoyed wiling away the evening by a crackling wood fire. We also had the tasting menu at The Station and the food is Michelin quality, it was absolutely delicious, there was plenty of it, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Unbelievable Scottish haute cuisine. Tasting menu is dynamic, local yet exotic, beautifully presented and delicious. An excellent - if pricey - treat! They challenge you to challenge your own tastes and do not disappoint with their innovation. Wine tasting flight similarly eclectic and nicely paired across their broad culinary range (though I was impressed by only two of the six and downright disappointed with two others - not a terrible average considering their courageous choices).Beautiful room and bath, but environmental controls set too hot, with insufficient window ventilation possible...Wonderful friendly and attentive staff, great breakfast and service. Solid choice for a splurge.

We have loved to stay at the Lovat. We stayed for two nights in Fort Augustus. The room was modern and cosy with a pretty tartan. The personal was very helpful and friendly. The boots in the entrance were a nice and comfortable idea. The hotel was in walking distance to Loch Ness and the center of Fort Augustus
