Good beds, nice sheets, fluffy towels. A small tea station (kettle, tea, milk, sugar, cookies) in the room. The room is on the small side but there's lots of storage.|We ate at the restaurant for dinner but skipped breakfast. …

We went for coffee, on a rainy autumn day. The coffee lounge barman seemed to be having a bad day, mislaying the till keys. He wouldnt take our order for soup as we were 15 mins before noon. …

Terrific friendly hotel with an emphasis on exploring local nature. We loved it. Charming, helpful staff on the desk, in the bar, and at breakfast. First rate location in the centre of town, ideal for wandering around. Felt like a little slice of Scottish history, but with no pretensions. Would happily return.

Upon check in we thought the room we were assigned was too far away and with no stairs. Jessica corrected this right away and we stayed in a lovely room more to our liking. …

My husband knew of this place decades ago as an old fashioned fishing hotel. We were coming down from Moray and it was a convenient stop location-wise.  …

We, two OAP's and our wee dog had a 3 night stay in this hotel in March and it was just perfect! Ideal location and parking and an exceptional welcoming friendly staff throughout the hotel which has managed to maintain its historical features...including the ancient.. but very efficient..lift ! The dining room experience was spot on..not too rushed but no long waits and a varied, change of menu every night...the chefs obviously have a passion for food. Lots of local walks and amenities suited our little dog who received her own ,helpful welcome pack ! There's even a drying room...for the day we got soaked ! Just a great friendly place to be...we wouldn't have changed a thing !

The Grant Arms Hotel was a short stay for my pal and I, but a lovely one!The hotel has a vintage luxury feel about it: plush carpets and real key doors and a big generous tub in the bathroom. the view from the room was lovely, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly and polite. I imagine if I were an avid wildlife/ birdwatcher, which the hotel markets for, this would be an ideal place. They had a place in the lobby on tours and walk information. The young barkeep in the lounge area was quick and charming. Give him his espresso machine back, he deserves it. Also in the lounge/ bar was an extensive old whisky option for those who partake.I will give a heads up for travelers: Grantown-on-Spey is a bit of a one-road town, and everything seems to shut promptly at 5pm. There are a few dinner options, but things seemed to book up FAST, so book with the hotel or take your chances on walk-in. (We ate at the Sylhet Brasserie just down the road and it was lovely.)
