Town centre location. 10 min walk to the coast.Nice staff. We didn't try cooked breakfast but it looked good. Toast and cereal was enough for us.Have to pay for parking at multi storey but only £5 per 24 hours

We stayed here for one night while at a nearby event. I understand that the room was fairly reasonably priced and nobody expects "luxury" in a hotel like this, but honestly, I won't be booking a room here again. When we entered, the staff were nice enough, booking us in quickly and letting us know where the room was. We got into the room, flicked the light switches on and only one of the two ceiling lights came on. Flicking the three switches back and forth didn't change anything, the light simply didn't work. Realizing we were going to stay in a partially lit room, we dropped our suitcases, went to the event and came back to sleep. The bed was comfortable with firm pillows, can't fault that. Staying on the fifth floor meant that we couldn't hear much from the city which was great. We woke up and went to the toilet, as you do. I don't know if the pressure was off or anything but the toilet didn't want to flush the waste away. We were just going to have to leave it there. We decided to quickly shower before checking out. I pulled open the shower curtain to a bath with a shower gel dispenser on the wall, which filled me with relief as I had unfortunately forgotten my shower gel at home. No points for guessing that it was empty when I went to use it. Not impressed with the bathroom overall. While I was showering, the other half noticed (as other reviews have) the shoddy paint work on the ceiling, and more concerningly, the fact that our bedding was ripped (photos included). After getting dressed, we decided to try the toilet once again before leaving, and after holding the handle down for a little while, the water started flowing and it emptied!I don't like to think I'm picky when it comes to budget rooms like these ones, but when you consider that there's a Premier Inn literally around the corner with a similar price point, you start to lean towards other companies when booking rooms like this. When we were on our way down in the lift, I wanted to let the receptionist know of our issues, and I decided "If they ask "How was your stay?", I'll tell them my honest thoughts". When we approached the counter to book out, I said "We're here to book out" and the receptionist looked at us and said, with a smile "That's all done for you, bye". Maybe I should have just taken the time to explain myself, but I truly do believe that when it comes to feedback, if you don't ask, you don't get. Thanks for the stay, but unfortunately it will probably be our last.

I had a room booked here 26/9/24 with late checkout. Upon checking into the room, I went back to the counter with a complaint. I did not shout, or swear or raise my voice at any of the staff members. The one staff member with red hair was very aggressive, shouting at me etc. Eventually the manager came, she was just as bad. They did nothing to solve my issue, and were shouting and rude to myself, In the end I gave up and said that's okay I'll go out, come back later and sleep in the room and leave tomorrow, but I would like your head office details to contact them. One I mentioned escalating it to their upper management they kicked me out of the hotel, refusing my entry. Did not offer any refund or alternative solutions, even though I gave in and said that's okay as I did not want it to go further as I was with a younger person but they seemed insistent on being beyond rude. I've stayed here before with no issue, I've stayed in multiple travel lodges with no issue but last night I felt very targeted and discriminated against and like my custom was not wanted. If the upper management does read this I hope it's looked into as it is completely unacceptable, I am a manager myself in an establishment, I do not understand how the manager on that shift and the staff member behind the counter can be so rude and horrible to people. The manager refused to give me their head office number or her name, the email she gave me does not work so I feel like I was treated very poorly and left with no way to resolve this situation. I was left down £80, with no where to sleep. It is appalling. I will say however one of the staff member with pinkish hair was nice and kind, the short red haired one and the manager on the other hand were beyond horrible.

The check in process was very quick and easy and the staff were really friendly so apart from me and my mate being accused of smoking weed (marijuana) outside of the hotel when it was a bloke in his pyjamas who was staying there but nothing to do with us and the I believe to be manager (Dave) didn't acknowledge the fact we were both smoking a cigarette when we told him it wasn't us, but I still respect the fact he was making sure that stuff wasn't happening outside of the hotel that might ruin the experience for other guests. We asked for the name of the manager (Dave) to give credit for coming out and telling people about smoking weed outside but to be more confident in who you're blaming as it wasn't us and the CCTV can prove that.Would of been a 5 star if the manager (Dave) had taken the time to listen to what we were sayingAll in all I've enjoyed my stay and I haven't even slept yet but the bed is very comfortable and the room was clean with extra pillows and had charging sockets in convenient placesGreat service!⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stayed here for just 1 night on a Saturday, as I had some friends visiting who wanted to experience Swansea's famous nightlife. We booked 2 standard plus rooms and the price was fairly reasonable. We checked in with no trouble, the receptionist was very friendly and quickly told us everything we needed to know.Whilst booking online, I noticed that they mentioned that this particular hotel had been completely renovated recently, and I did note that the reception, cafe and bar area looked really great. The room itself however, wasn't particularly impressive, although it was spotless, which really is the most important thing in my opinion. The room set up was pretty much standard, same as you would expect at any Travelodge. However, some of the details seemed pretty haphazard/slapdash considering it was a newly renovated room. I don't wish to be overly critical or picky, but it just seemed a little odd to me that certain things had been done so carelessly. For example, the curtains were falling off the curtain rail, they were only partially hooked on to it, the middle section just sagging down, and there was no knob on the end of the rails to stop the curtains just sliding off entirely when you opened them(?!). Also the bathroom door had no lock whatsoever, which I found peculiar but not a huge problem. The real problem was that the door was so poorly fitted that it didn't engage with the latch on the doorframe when you closed it, so it would just swing right back open again. The only way to keep it closed was to hold it with your foot or to wedge a few towels under it.I don't mind not having a lock, but personally I do expect to have the option of some privacy when using the bathroom. I've never been to any hotel where I couldn't close the bathroom door. The coffee pod machine was a nice little perk that came with a standard plus room. They even provided a couple of decaf coffee pods, so I decided to make use of it once we got back to our room in the early hours. Unfortunately it turned out to be the most insanely loud coffee machine I have ever, ever heard in all my life - The whole counter top started vibrating violently and I was sure you must have been able to hear it two floors down. (Sorry to whoever was staying in those rooms that particular night!) It was so loud that I genuinely panicked and considered pulling the plug since there was no other way to stop it until it was finished.🫣 Genuinely excruciating. But all that said, I still slept really well, the bed was lovely and comfy and the check out time was midday, so I got to relax knowing I could sleep in a little, which is what you want after a late night on the town.Luckily, I woke up just in time to catch breakfast. It was £9.99 per head, which I originally thought was a little expensive, but it turned out to be worth every penny. They had just about anything you could possibly want for breakfast on offer. Bacon, sausages, mushrooms, eggs, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, toast, pancakes, cereals, porridge, yogurts, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, a selection of juices. Just a lovely selection, and all cooked to perfection. All in all, I would happily stay at this hotel again. Although I would probably not bother springing for the standard plus room next time as it was hardly worth paying extra for really.

The rooms are riddled with black mould. The bed linen had yellow stains. There was no lock on the bathroom door. There was no air conditoning. My family and I went to eat in the restaurant one evening. The food was poor, the service was worse. Such low quality. The waitress gave me a dirty knapkin. I asked for a clean one, and she threw a bunch on the table. When our food arrived, it wasn't placed on the table, but dropped on it with attitude.
