Room 13 was all fine but my friend was in the next property. Room 10. Terrible! Smelt of eggs. Shower didn't get hot. Window blinds broken. Not expensive but still bad value

I cannot understand the positive reviews of this place. It is more a hostel than a hotel. Once inside, the narrow stairs are grubby and the room was incredibly small. The shower/toilet room is tiny.  …

The location is great, you have a river view and the arena is so close! The room was ok, although the bed was noisy. As a self-service experience I liked the technological advancement of the key, where you had two options, either you put in the passcode or use Bluetooth operated app. That was a nice touch.

I needed a place to stay after Bruce Springsteen show in Cardiff and naturally every hotel in the city raised their prices to ridiculous amounts. …

We stayed for one night to see a concert and paid£253.00 for a twin room. The location was great for the stadium as it’s only a 5 minute walk away. However I think that was the best thing about this guesthouse. …

Lets start with the good things first. They send long texts beforehand explaining everything and reminding us of the rules and regulations. Great communication. It's basically right in the city centre and most attractions are within walking distance. We had a room with an ensuite so that was great as well. Now the not so good things. For whatever reason there was no soap in the bathroom. The furniture was dated, the ceiling was most definitely not made for houses you live in (think office square popcorn tiles), the sink had a huge crack in it, there was mold on the window sill and one of the light switches did nothing. We also had the problem that I had to throw up while being there. It was the most curious thing. We woke up in the morning, had a cup of tea and half an hour later I was over the bowl. Now my mum has a rumbly tummy anyways so i didn't think much of it when she had to visit the bathroom first and she was fine right after. Then about ten minutes later I suddenly felt really woozy and nauseous, sat down on the toilet lid and a minute later had to throw up the tea again. After that I was completely fine. First we thought it might have been the milk, but that hadn't passed the date yet, plus my mum didn't have any. The tea was the exact same one we had the day before at a different hotel also. With that in mind we googled if maybe the tap water was just not drinkable in Wales but apparently it is. So whatever it was must have come from the tap in the bathroom specifically. Strangest thing. Now if you are just looking for a bed to sleep in, this is fine. If you are looking for anything more I would not recommend it.

It's pretty good place to stay for the night with my experience. Very close to the city center 10 min Walk. It was very quiet which made my sleep good the room and bathroom was very clean. Like that the single room have nice clean fresh sheets and towels and loo roll. The radiator was a nice welcome addition it came in clutch for yesterday where I was drenched from the strange weather.Like the included kettle with the coffee in the room was decent to wake me up.The checking in was very easy todo and quick. The staff was very nice and helpful to extend my check out time. The shower was hot which I'd very nice water pressure is okay had a nice decent shower. The only one downside is that on my floor there was a side toilet which unfortunately was blocked with poo and lool roll and did not flush wasn't a pleasant thing to see. But other tolet Was clean and functional.Honestly it was very good for the price and somewhere to sleep for the night.First time in whales and it was nice. Happy to sleep here again.

Service very good, excellent communication, location ideal as watching a concert, room wasn't great to be honest as unfortunately previous occupant had smoked a joint, bit noisy as converted house and not purpose built, mattress on bed way too soft but that's just a preference. Saying that though room had everything you needed, tea and coffee, towels, toilet roll. Can't fault it for the price.

You’re an absolute disgrace! Charging £3,412.00 for 1 night, just because Oasis are playing in the city. Absolutely disgusting, ought to be ashamed.
